#Musicmonday – #027

WELL here we are, the very last #MusicMonday for 2012. Let me first take the opportunity to thank you for your support with this little project in 2012.

It WILL be back in 2013 and I’m hoping you’ll help me in building our little community by sharing any editions you love with your music-loving friends. There’s a bunch of sharing tools there up above. Just click and you’re away!

For those of you who missed it earlier in the week, I posted my annual “Top 5 Albums of 2012” and “Best of 2012 – The Music” blog posts and have put together corresponding playlists on both Rdio and Spotify for your listening pleasure. Feel free to spruik these across your social networks as you see fit.

Finally, I wish you a happy new year and all the very best for a happy and successful 2013!

1. “When I Dream” – Ra Ra Riot

Love these guys and the fact that they have chosen to give us a second glimpse at their forthcoming album “Beta Love”, due out January 22! Keep your ears out for that one!

2. “Neverending Spirit” – Monks of Mellonwah

Great to see Aussie rock is still alive and kicking. These guys are doing great things in the US right now – HUGE in California!

3. “Twin Cities” – Hungry Kids of Hungary

It’s almost tradition to have an offering from a great local Brisbane band each week. Now’s not the time to buck that trend!

4. “Hey Now” – London Grammar

This one snuck up on me in the couple of week’s I was putting together my “2012 Best of” posts. Great listen for a chilled out Sunday arvo!

5. “All I Heard” – Mitzi

Indie disco pop goodness from another Brissie act that’s being talked about everywhere right now!
