#Musicmonday – #033

BEFORE I get straight into the music for this week, a quick announcement to let you know that, while I’m well and truly done with having a personal profile on Facebook, I’m back in a “brand” capacity with my own “fan page” you can access here:  MΛSΞY Facebook page
All my latest blog posts, links to #MusicMonday editions (where you can leave comments on the tracks you do and don’t like) and other interesting things I find all around the web will be posted here, so throw a “Like” my way if these weekly ramblings entertain you in any way.

PS. “The Kooks” just announced a 2013 tour of Australia. Their last tour was outstanding, so GET ON THIS if you can! Tickets on sale this week!

1. “Blue Sky Blue (ft. Fantine)” – Pete Murray

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

Pete’s new album “Blue Sky Blue: The Byron Sessions” gives a fresh coat of remixed paint to an old favourite album, thanks to a number of collaborations with some talented musical buddies.

Not available on SoundCloud. Boo!

2. “If So” – Atlas Genius

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA

We’ve seen this great act on #MusicMonday a couple of times before, and now, with their much anticipated debut album poised to drop in a couple of weeks (February 19), Atlas Genius give us this new gem.

3. “Known Better” – Meg Mac

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

A fresh new soulful sound from another great new Triple J Unearthed artist.

4. “Retrograde” – James Blake

LONDON, UK

Quite possibly the most buzzed about single release of last week around the indie music blogs.

5. “It Makes Me Cry” – Photo Ops

NASHVILLE, USA

This one landed in my lap this week, all “out-of-the-blue” style. “Photo Ops” (aka Terry Price) apparently plays ALL instruments on his upcoming LP. Talented lad.
