#Musicmonday – #038

IT’S another big week of music coming up for me with “Birds Of Tokyo” and “Mutemath” (SUPER pumped for this one) hitting town towards the end of the week.

Add to that a couple of side-splitting “Brisbane Comedy Festival” shows (Tom Gleeson & Danny Bhoy) and it’s safe to say that Kirsten and I, are going to be pretty tired by the time this week is all wrapped up.

Lucky we’ll have these hand-picked tracks to relax to as we go along. Enjoy.

1. “Hacienda Motel” – Pickwick

SEATTLE, USA

A slick, big sound from this popular band from Seattle. Credit to @michd10 for this one – thanks! For those of you in Vancouver, “Pickwick” will be in town 12th April!

2. “The Woodpile” – Frightened Rabbit

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND

I know at least one person who’ll be stoked to see the inclusion of these guys this week. Great track, great suggestion @from_theloft!

3. “Fingers Never Bleed” – Yeasayer

NEW YORK, USA

It’s taken me a while to get them in here, but here’s the opening track from “Yeasayer’s” fantastic current album “Fragrant World”.

4. “From Nowhere” – Dan Croll

LIVERPOOL, UK

Much talked about right now following a handful of well received shows at SXSW, and VERY much played by me these past few days.

5. “Hold On” – Sons Of The East

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

“Mumford & Sons” fans get comfy cause I think you’re going to love the sounds coming from this new, Aussie three-piece indie-folk act. Let’s face it, anything is a winner when the banjo makes an appearance!
