#Musicmonday – #042

WITH the annual “Coachella” music festival well underway in Indio, California, there’s no point in me sitting around lamenting the fact I’m not there, yet again this year.

No! Instead, let’s dive into another handful of tracks, literally from “around the globe”, with representation from the UK, USA, France & Australia.

If you’d like to check out what’s going on at Coachella for yourself, however, check out the official website where the performances are all streaming in full RIGHT NOW!

1. “There Will come A Time” – Noah And The Whale

LONDON, UK

This is “Noah And The Whale’s” (the guys responsible for that catchy tune L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.) first single from their new album “Heart of Nowhere” due to drop on May 6.

2. “Wolf” – Pyramid

PARIS, FRANCE

Following the sweet Daft Punk mix last week, here’s some more electronic goodness out of Paris, with rising star Pyramid’s latest release “Wolf” ready to fill your ears at max volume (yes, that’s a suggestion)!

3. “Centered on You” – Atlas Genius

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA

After featuring this Aussie act a couple of times last year on #MusicMonday, the boys have finally launched their debut album “When It Was Now”, from which this great track comes.

4. “Demons” – The National

CINCINNATI, USA

The widely popular “The National” are back with a typically brooding arrangement called “Demons” – the first track from their upcoming album “Trouble Will Find Me” (due May 21).

Not available on SoundCloud. Boo!

5. “One Way Trigger” – The Strokes

New York, USA

Borrowing heavily from the A-Ha’s 80’s anthem “Take on Me”, New York Indie Rockers “The Strokes” have a catchy pop-rock track on their hands!

Not available on SoundCloud. Boo!
