What really sets Newton apart from his acoustic soloist peers, apart from his incredible musical talent, is his ability to entertain, through in-between-song banter and enthusiasm to get his audiences harmonically involved in the show, with an ease and maturity that mocks his tender 27 years of age.
With that box ticked and a great night out enjoyed by both myself and Kirsten, all that is left to say is SEE THIS GUY LIVE if he happens to be journeying through your town anytime soon.
As I’m sure I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion already, I LOVE it when arriving, and often lining up in long queues, at a venue early for a performance is rewarded by exposure to a previously undiscovered “support” artist that blows you away with their talent.
Tonight was yet another one of those occasions when the gorgeous, pint-sized, multi-talented Perth girl, Morgan Joanel, took to the right of stage and began to loop, strum, beat and dance her way through a selection of original and cover songs.
