#Musicmonday - #052 → The Paper Kites The Paper Kites

#Musicmonday – #052

YUP, I’m a little late this week, but I promise you, the delay has been all in the name of QUALITY.

Ultimately you will be the judge, however, so take a listen to the selection below and let me know if you find something new you like.

1. “St Clarity” – The Paper Kites

Melbourne, Australia

One of my fave indie finds of the past couple of years, Melbourne’s “The Paper Kites” are back with a new single filled with banjo and Sam & Christina’s trademark melodies.

2. “Atomic Man” – Portugal. The Man

PORTLAND, USA

A super quirky morphing clip accompanies this new track from Portland’s “Portugal. The Man”. Keep an eye out for their great new album “Evil Friends”.

3. “Strong” – London Grammar

LONDON, UK

Everything Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman aka “London Grammar” touch, turns to gold. Brilliant. Haunting. Nuff said.

4. “Fred Astaire” – San Cisco

FREMANTLE, AUSTRALIA

A fun track from a fun, young Aussie group out of Fremantle. Triple J darlings, “San Cisco” have had a stellar year capped off by their current headlining tour in the US.

5. “Survive” – Kidnap Kid

SHEFFIELD, UK

Closing things down this week is this 7:30min beauty from UK producer “Kidnap Kid”. This ain’t the first time I’ve featured the Kid’s work on #MusicMonday, and I doubt it’ll be the last.
