With a bit of luck, the eclectic selection of tracks below drawn from Australia, Canada, Iceland and England will rectify my tardiness.
Here we go…
1. “Tear It Down (SAFIA Remix)” – The Aston Shuffle
Nothing but great things to say about both acts – check them out when you get the chance!
2. “Shadows (feat. Alex Mills)” – Hot Since 82
British DJ-producer Daley Padley, aka Hot Since 82 has delivered this week’s “most danceable” track featuring the vocals of Alex Mills, and set to a pretty dark and gruesome clip featuring SAW-like torture and Mad-Max-style vehicles..
Definitely a wind-down-the-windows-and-crank-it-up kinda tune, this one. 😉
3. “Torrent” – Ásgeir
Ásgeir is quickly becoming my favourite Icelandic artist (sorry Björk). His unique brand of folk rock is ear-catching and worthy of a second appearance on #MusicMonday following his track “King & Cross” I posted back in July last year (#MusicMonday – #054).
4. “Ancient Mars” – The Zolas
“Ancient Mars” is the title track from Vancouver act The Zolas’ second full-length album.
Always stoked to get some BC artists up here on #MusicMonday. If anyone else knows of any great new artists popping up over there, please point me in the right direction!
5. “Create / Destroy” – Art vs Science
The disco/Daft Punk sound is alive and well in 2014, and here’s a track from Sydney-siders Art vs Science to more than prove it!
Tonnes of HUGE electro/disco hooks here to keep your finger on the “repeat” button for the rest of today!
