Beer lover's guide to Brisbane

Beer lover’s guide to Brisbane

NO doubt about it, lil’ ol’ Brissie has grown up substantially over the past decade. With a spate of fantastic cafes, restaurants, live music bars and more popping up all over the inner city area over the past little while, there’s no wonder that earlier this year, Lonely Planet named Brisbane “…arguably Australia’s hippest city,” with “…cool bookshops, globally inspired restaurants, cafes, bars and band rooms aplenty.”

Along with this newfound maturity has come a thankful improvement in the range and quality of beers offered by both the major pubs and clubs, and also the smaller, craft-brewery supporting establishments.

In short, it ain’t all about XXXX, VB, Tooheys and Fosters (for my international readers) anymore. A night out on the suds is now about Ales-a-plenty, Porters, Pilsners, Hefs and more! YES!

So where do you go for quality brews in Brisbane these days? I’m glad you asked. There’s plenty of spots to choose from, a selection of which I’ve collated for you on a convenient map below.

Download the guide to carry with you, using the button provided, if you’re coming to town anytime soon and enjoy the tour!

How did I create the guide?

Jauntful is basically a neat new online tool that, “helps you create and share personal printable guides of your favourite travel tips — restaurants, activities, personal notes — anything your friends should know about the cities you love.

Just enter the venues and any personal notes you like, and we’ll create a beautiful guide they can print and carry in their pocket or use on any device.”

Jauntful

From a content creator’s perspective, it’s a dead simple tool to use and really does make it almost effortless to create helpful guides which can be shared, easily printed out and, like I have done above, embedded on web pages for easy access.

Sadly, they don’t appear to be fully responsive down to mobile screen size like the rest of my site, so if it isn’t reading right for those of you viewing this post on the run, make a note to revisit from a larger screen as soon as you get a chance.

Jauntful are inviting new people to the preview daily, so if you’re interested in taking it for a test run for yourself, head on over to jauntful.com and follow the prompts.
