Yes, it's amazing what a little sunshine and some blossoming trees can do to lift the spirits of a city. Spring has definitely sprung here in Vancouver as of this week, and I for one am so glad to put the Winter (and ridiculous amounts of rain) behind me.

The cherry blossoms are almost out in full bloom and indeed the area around Burrard Skytrain station is pretty spectacular right now with white and slightly pink blooms popping out in their thousands. Speaking of pink, there doesn't seem to be anywhere near as much of the hue in the blooms this year as compared to last year.

Provided it's nice enough on the weekend, I may try to get out and shoot a few of the other known hot spots around town. But until then, here's some pics I took the other day on the way home from work.
