Just for something different, we grabbed a couple of tickets for the Pride of Vancouver fireworks cruise tonight. Four or so hours cruising False Creek and English Bay enjoying a buffet dinner followed by one of the best seats in the house for Team Canada's performance in this year's "HSBC Celebration of Light".

The cruise part was kind of cool cause it gave me the chance to snap some shots of the False Creek exclusive real estate areas from a perspective (on the water) that I certainly don't get to enjoy all that often, if ever. On our way back in towards the English Bay area for the fireworks, we were fortunate to experience an amazing moon rise. I've seen some large golden moons rise from the horizon before, and this one tonight was well and truly up there with the best of them.

Team Canada put on a great show, in my opinion much better than Team Spain the other night. I didn't take my tripod along, obviously, so there aren't any great shots of the actual show, but here's what I snapped over the course of the night.
